BUIS install: torque and Loctite basics (generic)
Manufacturers sometimes publish clamp torque; many budget/accessory listings do not. The FBUIS-B Amazon listing includes a hex screwdriver but does not publish an inch-pound torque figure here—so none is invented on this page.

Generic safe practice
- Seat the recoil lug fully in a Picatinny slot before tightening.
- Snug evenly until the sight does not slide under hand pressure—stop before rounding the hex.
- If you use threadlocker, prefer a removable low-strength formula on clean threads; avoid permanent lockers on small sight screws unless the maker says so.
- Re-check screws after the first range session.
- Never substitute “as tight as possible” for seating the lug—crushing a rail or screw helps no one.
